Hi, well the alcohol will intoxicate and as said will cause severe liver damage. It is also usually a more potent and concentrated alcohol that will not be processed easily by the liver and is not the same as, say, a shot of vodka. However there are more dangerous things in deodorants/colognes, known as solvents, which everyone has heard of xD but these can cause instant fatality so it's not the alcohol you want to be conerved with. The short answer is that yes, colognes/perfumes (deodorants?) contain ethanol. Just like drinking alcohol. So sure, it will intoxicate you. But more than that it will just make you really sick and like others have said, can cause some serious liver damage. Also--according to Wikipedia, some perfumes contain acetone and various similar substances. Those are NOT good for you. Not to mention you have to consider than you'd be ingesting a pretty decent amount of whatever makes up the fragrance itself.


Please don't do it. It would be like drinking hand sanitizer. You may as well buy some Listerine. But I don't recommend that either. They're all bad ideas.


Not to mention regular plan old drinking alcohol is a heck of a lot cheaper. :-)
no no no no no no. there are 3 dif types of alcohol.





ethyl alcohol (ethanol) is what is found in beer, wine, and the hard stuff. its what makes u drunk.





isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol) is ';rubbing alcohol'; which u find in ur bathroom closet for cleaning, etc.





methyl alcohol (methanol) is found more in an idustrial setting. it's found in paint removers and anti-freeze, etc.





if u drink anything other than ethanol, it is poisonous and u will find yourself in the hospital with a tube down ur throat from getting ur stomach pumped.
