Advertising in Italy - Deodorants/Perfumes?

Is it true that 15-20 years ago, it was illegal and not allowed to advertise (at least on TV) for deodorants and perfumes?





I know now of course there is no problem, but im saying 15-20 years ago?Advertising in Italy - Deodorants/Perfumes?
To be honest, it sounds really strange to me ...





I know that at present, it is not allowed to advertise cigarettes... This is the only prohibition about advertising that I know in Italy...Advertising in Italy - Deodorants/Perfumes?
