Yeah. When you think about it, women use a ton of scented products every day. Shampoo, conditioner, styling products, lotions, makeups, and the like. For deos, I recommend Mitchum for women. You can get the strong, unscented one that won't compete. And you really want to wear a good deo, otherwise you'll smell like pits and flowers at the same time. Masking funk doesn't work well. Like spraying those sprays into a stinky bathroom after a heavy Mexican food bender... It doesn't cover the stink all that well.
Scented lotion is really a better bet for summer, and you can probably get one in your fav fragrance for a lot cheaper than perfumes. Or even a body spray will do the trick, and not be as strong. The scent is lighter, and doesn't break down so fast in the heat. There's a trick with perfume, just put on your pulse points. I spray mine on a qtip and then dab it on. If you put too much perfume on, you can use rubbing alcohol to take some of it off, or rub petrolum jelly over it to mask some of it and make it release slowly throughout the day. Some women spray it into the air and walk through it, but then it ends up on your clothes and in your hair. If could break your skin out, and dry out your hair if you do that. Hope this helps.
Yes, in fact it makes sense to use both. If you don't use deo, when you perspire it'll mix with your perfume - not good! I'd suggest using an unscented deodorant which won't cancel out the scent of perfume.

Well, it depends. Using deotorant with a really stinky scent, then go to Abercombie %26amp; Fitch or another store that sells perfume with a smell you think will be atractive and smells nice. But if your deotorant doesn't smell, then, that could take care of the smell. So you don't exactley need both at the same time.

I travel to my office by public transport. Antiperspirant is like flushing the toilet and turning on the fan (Ok not really this was a bad analogy) But antiperspirant helps to prevent sweating, even though sometimes it doesn't work.
i might sound dumb but i thought that anti perspiration's deodorant. I know that some of those deodorants already includes anti perspiration in their formula.
and i wouldn't wear perfume because perfume only masks teh smell instead of preventing it there for usually at the end of the night if you were sweating you smell even worst.

Tried of the rigors of being a metrosexual, I stopped using soap, perfume, deodorant, and even foot powder. I just used water in taking a shower at least 4 times a day. As a result, my gf and other lady partners are wild with my natural male scent. They call me 'horse' now not only because of my size but also for my scent. In public places, I notice that ladies and gay guys are taking deep whiffs of my natural scent. Even guys who I have no reason to suspect of being gays also gravitate towards my natural male scent.
I don't mean body odor or any offensive odor when I use the term natural male scent. I mean clean but natural male scent, the way a man should smell like.
I just want to know if other people prefer their men to smell like men and not be the feminized or emasculated version of men. Do you think that there is now a backlash against the 'metrosexualization' of men? I absolutely hate it when someone covers themselves in perfume, colone, or uses a deodorant that has a strong stench. When ever I have to sit next to a person like that I get a headache! Isn't it rediculous? sure, a little perfume on a lady is not so bad, but if people overdue it and they usually do (especially men with their colone or deodorants), it gets very annoying. I use deodorants that have as little odor as possible, so I completely avoid male deodorants, there is just no need for all that strong unnatural smell, it gives you a headache! Ok I 've been so paranoid about B.O. since this one bad incident that happened to me years ago at work. Here's what happened to me. I was working at a restaurant years ago %26amp; i'd been working there for almost 7 months with no problems from any co-worker, actually I had made several good friends there until one day as I was working on my job, food prep, one of the female co-workers was having a conversation w/ another lady that worked there too and just outta the blue she looked up at me and said, 'Well at least I don't smell like butt!!' and then she and the other lady she was talking to just burst out laughing. I didn't say anything because I wasn't 100% sure if she was talking about me or not so I ignored it. A few minutes later tho I was called to go make a delivery %26amp; when I came back from the delivery the co-worker that made the comment %26amp; the other lady she was talking to were way across the end of the room away from me. Maybe your co-workers were intimidated by you, or had an agenda with you. I think you should definitly be open about this with someone you trust. Promise that person that you will respect their honesty and that it would not hurt your feelings, rather it would help you address the issue. Don't make yourself crazy. shave your body hair (legs, armpits, Brazilian wax)....i would say that body hair can hold odor
brush your teeth after every meal
control gas (get some gas X or if you can't afford, use baking soda (take a teaspoon full if gas is a problem)
stay away from drugs...if you are doing them/taking them then seek help

I travel to my office by public transport. I use perfume or deo but by the time I reach office with my around 1 n half hour travelling with sweating ..the effect has been gone..sometimes I pass by certain people and they smell so good fresh..and my deo or perfume smells doesnt lasts..what to do ? They should try it first on a small spot on their arm first to make sure they aren't going to have a reaction. Baby care products might be an alternative as they aren't as harsh. Also, they could stay away from foods that have strong odors like onions, asparagus, garlic, etc. If they are going on a date, I would also suggest that they do something that doesn't require a lot of physical exertion so they don't work up a sweat. Lastly, they could ask their physician to recommend some products for people with the same allergies. A phone call to the office should do it if they explain the urgent need. Good luck.

try this all-natural deodorant perhaps- it's called
Crystal Stick and comes in a purple-packaged roll-on or stick.
It doesn't have the chemicals that are most likely to cause
allergies- I love it. It doesn't keep you from sweating but it
blocks the buildup of bacteria that cause body odor.
i don't use any deodorant or perfumes at all... i am not allergic to them but i don't wear any..... just my day %26amp; night showers, that will do it for me!! Good Luck

I believe there is a deodorant crystals though i have no personal experience with it. I am very sensitive to alot of additives and especially lanolin so i am careful about what i use. but this goes down to the bar soap i put on my body or whatever products i use on my face.
remind him not to eat onions or garlic that day as he will sweat those smells out his pores which will only exacerbate any body odor issues.
as the wife of a soldier i have smelled him after coming home from the middle east and being on an airplane for about 3 days straight. i always feel very sorry for the other passengers on commercial flights.. cause i know i have to have the window down until i can get him into a bath or shower.. EEGAD!!

I have tried rubbing alcohol, witch hazel and various other products without success. Cologne and perfume are the same thing. They are just fragrant oils that are put on the skin to make you smell pleasant.
The best place to put perfumes and colognes are to put them on your pulse points.
The crook of your elbow, your wrists, and your clevage (both front and back).
They way I apply my perfume is to spray one of my wrists and rub it together with the other wrist, and the rub my wrists just below my ears (thats where a major pulse point is). Then I spray my clevage area.
Your pulse points are the best place to put your perfume because they are hot, so it would make the fragrance pulsate.
You could also put it on your clothes. I spoke with a male friend of mine, and he told me he would spray his clothing, and then iron them, setting in the scent. I don't know about that. If anything, I would turn the clothes inside out, and spray the cologne on the inside so you don't stain your clothing then iron them.
He also would spray his chest, and his neck, and put a little on his finger and put it on the underside of his chin.
But more on putting the fragrance on your clothes...for women, spray the cups of your bra, let it dry and put it on.

I'm confident they would never need perfume purchase again.

maybe they are just teasing you. but if you do actually have body odor, try taking a bath with baking soda in the water. this helps to neutralize any odors even if you dont smell it yourself. Trust me this worked for me and I still use it at times! So your not alone. If that doesnt work, try adding a cup of apple cider vinegar to your bath water. I used it once a week and I smell much better.
Maybe they mean you stink of deodorant and perfume, too much of that can be just as bad as body odour... If so perhaps try a more subtle perfume than Britney Spears which is horribly strong and sweet in my opinion. Or they could just be being mean and you don't really stink at all. Why don't you ask someone that you're close to who is honest whether you do actually smell bad and what do you smell of? Tell them to be honest - it would be meaner of them to let you go around smelling bad than to tell you that you do stink. Then once you know what you smell of (if anything) try and find out how to rectify it. Good luck : )

Armpits smell because of the bacteria thats living in that area, so when you take a shower, try to clean them very well and when you get out of the shower, use a spray-on deodorant (works better for me). Also, wear your scent in your hair so when you walk, your hair moves and it releases the perfume and wont mix with your ';stink';. Good luck!!

yes go to the doctor i recently saw this program on the subject that some people have a disorder that causes a smell. No matter how clean and how perfumed they are. Its a chemical imbalance in your body, i forgot what its called but it gives off a fish type smelll. You should go see a doctor and let them test you for that, it sounds like it could be a possibility.
Maybe it's something you eat like onions or garlic, or maybe they are just being mean. I would just talk to my parents and ask them to take you to the doctor to make sure that it is nothing.
sometimes the chemical reaction in perfume can counter act with our own chemical balance. Use a Zinc soap.....sometimes people are mean and say things that they know bother you. try something a little less pungent...use a floral perfume instead...

It is possible that you have some sort of hormone imbalance in your body, or that your body is reacting to some foods you may eat. A good doctor will be able to advise you and give you some medication to get your problem under control.

Also, if there is any odor in your house, your clothes can pick it up and absorb it. Don't make the mistake of trying to cover it up with perfumes. That will only draw attention to the problem. But he didn't notice it cause he had gotten used to the smell. That could be it... :-/
Ok....I'll try to explain this without blushing too much. I have an over abundance of pubic hair, and the odor stays in no matter what I do. So I started keeping it trimmed to very short and now do not have a problem.
Do you shave your armpits regularly? I've heard that helps. Also, make sure not to overdo it with the perfume. That could possibly be part of the problem! Do you shower in the morning or evening? If you shower at night, maybe try doing it in the morning right before you go to school and see if that helps. Good luck!
Mitchim Antiperspirant is great it works around the clock that Britney perfume is mostly vanilla so if you like flowery smells try clinque happy heart or Eternity by clavinC they are both very strong and could hide the smell of a farm.

Yea but I only used it to cover up the smell of the cabbage cologne I used.
Not on purpose but if you hang around an onion shed for too long when onions are being topped you will smell like one! My grandfather and my uncle and my uncle's son still raise onions. Walla Walla Sweets!

I love the smell of Clix deodorant by Axe. Is there a perfume that smells like it?

I would say that if you like clix so much, just buy the axe clix body spray.
